Free printable spice labels

Since moving into this house a couple of years ago we have been stuck in the renovation front as we are waiting to find someone who will rewire our entire house. It is rather frustrating because we have not been able to put a stamp on the house or make it feel more homely, and, more importantly, we have not bothered buying furniture since we would then have to move it all out of rooms to redecorate. Sometimes, it feels like we are “camping” in our own house since there is still such a lot of chaos. I know you are probably thinking: “And what has this got to do with herbs and spice labels?!?”. Good question! The answer is very simple. Since I can not get the rest of the house in order, I have felt the need to make little steps somewhere, improving what I can. We love using herbs and spices in our cooking, and we have quite a few growing in the garden; nevertheless, our spice and herbs cabinet was really messy, and it was always difficult to find what I was looking for, so I decided to start there. I did look for spice labels online, but there was nothing that felt right for me. I wanted something simple with a modern feel, so I designed my own, and I think they’ve turned out quite beautiful. I now have a corner of my kitchen that feels calm and orderly… and really lovely to look at.

If you would also like a new look for your spice cabinet, you can download the files, and you are good to go. Of course the labels you are downloading, won’t have my name on it! You can find two different sizes. Initially, I was hoping to use some old spice jars I had, so I made the small labels to fit those, but I realised I did not have enough of them (did I mention we use lots of spices??), so I ended up buying new bigger jars, as I wanted to be able to scoop them up with a teaspoon, and so needed new labels.

For these, I suggest using A4 waterproof vinyl sticker paper. You can follow the trim line. Mine turned out beautiful.

If you also like the jars I used, you can find them here.

If you end up using them, I would love to see how they turned out in your kitchen, so please feel free to tag me on Instagram.
